At Career Compass, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our services and products. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for refunds and cancellations. By purchasing our services or products, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

2. Digital Products
2.1 E-Books, Guides, and Templates
Due to the digital nature of our e-books, guides, and templates, we have a limited refund policy for these products:
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the purchase date
- You must provide a valid reason for the refund request
- We reserve the right to deny refunds if we detect abuse of our refund policy or if the product has been downloaded, accessed, or used extensively
2.2 Online Courses
For our online courses, the following refund policy applies:
- A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase if less than 20% of the course content has been accessed
- No refunds will be issued after 14 days of purchase or if more than 20% of the course content has been accessed
- If technical issues prevent you from accessing the course and our support team cannot resolve them, you may be eligible for a full refund regardless of the time elapsed
3. Career Services
3.1 One-on-One Coaching Sessions
For individual coaching sessions, our refund policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund or rescheduling
- Cancellations made between 24-48 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a 50% refund or rescheduling
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session are not eligible for a refund
- If you miss a scheduled session without notice, no refund will be provided
- If a coach cancels or fails to attend a session, you are entitled to a full refund or rescheduling at your convenience
3.2 Resume and Cover Letter Reviews
For resume and cover letter review services:
- Cancellations before we begin work on your documents are eligible for a full refund
- Once we have started working on your documents, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion
- No refunds will be issued after the final documents have been delivered
- If you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, you may request revisions according to the terms specified at the time of purchase
3.3 Career Assessment and Testing
For career assessment and testing services:
- Refunds are available before the assessment is taken
- Once an assessment has been completed, no refunds will be issued
- If technical issues prevent you from completing an assessment, contact our support team for assistance or a potential refund
4. Subscription Services
4.1 Monthly Subscriptions
For monthly subscription services:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team
- No refunds are provided for partial months of service
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for future billing periods after cancellation
4.2 Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscription services:
- If you cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase, you are eligible for a full refund
- If you cancel after 14 days of the initial purchase, you may receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription, less a cancellation fee
- No refunds will be issued in the last quarter of the subscription period
4.3 Free Trials
If your subscription began with a free trial:
- No charges are made during the free trial period
- You may cancel at any time during the free trial, and no charges will be made
- If you do not cancel before the end of the free trial period, you will be automatically charged for the subscription
- Once the paid subscription begins, the standard refund policy for that subscription type applies
5. Group Programs and Workshops
For group career programs, workshops, and webinars:
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event are eligible for a full refund
- Cancellations made between 3-7 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 3 days before the event are not eligible for a refund
- If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost
- If we cancel or reschedule an event, you are entitled to a full refund or the option to attend the rescheduled event
6. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur. In the following cases, we may consider refund requests outside our standard policy:
- Serious illness or medical emergency (documentation may be required)
- Death of an immediate family member (documentation may be required)
- Natural disasters or severe weather conditions that prevent participation
- Technical issues on our end that prevent service delivery
Each exception request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and decisions are at the sole discretion of Career Compass management.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:

- Your full name
- Order number or receipt
- Date of purchase
- Product or service purchased
- Reason for requesting a refund
- Any relevant supporting documentation
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process it as quickly as possible. Refund processing typically takes 5-10 business days, depending on your payment method and financial institution.
8. Refund Methods
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method when possible:
- Credit/debit card payments will be refunded to the original card
- PayPal payments will be refunded to the PayPal account
- Bank transfers will be refunded to the originating account
In some cases, we may issue refunds as credit to your Career Compass account if the original payment method is no longer available or if requested by the customer.
9. No-Refund Items
The following items and circumstances are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Service fees and administrative charges
- Products marked as 'non-refundable' at the time of purchase
- Services that have been fully delivered and completed
- Custom or personalized services that have been completed according to specifications
- Downloadable products that have been accessed, downloaded, or used
